The largest of the four arenas at the Markin MacPhail Centre, the international arena features more than 2,500 spectator seats and additional standing room for 500 viewers. The arena has six large dressing rooms, separate referees’ and flex rooms. The flex room can be converted into two individual dressing rooms to provide an easy and convenient way to accommodate the needs of co-ed teams.
The international arena can convert from its original size to a North American arena size. The sound and broadcast system allows media coverage and the recording of hockey tournaments or games. The data can saved and reviewed upon request. The score boards on each end of the arena come with fully equipped video screens. The international arena has all of the needed equipment to create an amazing spectator experience.
The international arena opened September 2011.
